What is wrong with my flyback?
i was using this circuit here: http://www.powerlabs.org/images/schematic1.gif
and powering it with 9 "C" batteries for 12v at who knows how many amps but around 5 since this is what the circuit draws.anyways my homemade flyback all of a sudden fizzled audibly when i turned it on. and then it didn't work anymore except for making really hard to see sparks. at first it did work but then my transistor (2n3055) got really hot really fast. so i put another 2n3055 in parrallel so they would share current and it got even hotter than before and faster. i switched the transistor out to a Toshiba 2sc55531 which i think is beefier but when i turned it on it still fizzled audibly and stopped but then it still only created those miniscule sparks. did i blow my secondary coil or something?? cause the transistor still works, i checked both, or should i say, all three of them with the diode check on collector to emitter and it still read that it was ok. what in the world is going on??
without an oscilloscope it is very difficult!
You still have trouble with your flyback!
Get yourself a microwave oven and use the power supply it is about 4KV
Other option is a oil furnace transformer, it is 10KV with 20 mA
Or build yourself a 12V ...Amps variable power supply

It would appear that latest and most prestigious in house fashion accessory for the home is the Flat Screen TV. Taking price and money out of the equation which type of Flat Screen TV do you purchase?

The Humax has 2 (2 RGB) scarts and and the type and number of multimedia interfaces the the Humax LP32-TDR1 uses are HDMI and1. The type of tuner for this TV is Analogue and Digital and the LP32-TDR1 is available from a wide variety of outlets.
So what would we think is a fair assessment of the LP32-TDR1?
The most obvious place to start with as far as TV's are concerned would be the picture quality and our score here would be 8 out of 10 as the other half of the "Sound and Vision" double act our opinion of the sound quality would be 6 out of 10 Taking a look at the number of relevant connections and their availability, our score would be 8 out of 10 If we take a look at the overall "featureability" our score would be 10 out of 10 and the final individual verdicts would relate to the ease of use and overall value for money and our scores here would be 8 and 10 out of 10 respectively.
